20. Can stucco be refinished or over-
coated? What can be done if it is
already painted?
This is not as easy as some stucco companies believe it is. It took us over 10 years and $500,000.00 of Scientific Research and Experimental Development with the Federal Government to produce the refinishing options that we have. The Restucco with a lifetime guarantee…Pro Tech Stucco and the Liquid Stucco stystem…are not available in the market place except through a STUCCO DOCTOR licensed company. We have never had a significant failure on these products and have never had an unsatisfied complaint in over 40 years in business. We have no leaky condos nor failed stucco projects of any type in our past. However other stucco companies have not had this record of success. So the answer as to whether it can be done….depends on who does it….what training they have had, what product they are using and how much they care about the work that they do. We have done literally thousands of jobs all over BC painted, non painted…5 years old and 100 years old…and no failures….so yes it can be done.
